- In-home personalized Parent Education and Support to strengthen early childhood development.

Parenting Consultation, Training and/or Group Support to Professionals or Parents toward conscious and intentional parent-child relationships; increasing
awareness of parenting styles and impact on young children,
strengthening parent skills and coping, understanding basic emotional
growth and development and appropriate developmental expectations;
intentional family life; and identifying and utilizing sources of
support.

Consultation & Training in Infant Mental Health Practice and/or Infant Mental Health Practice Group Support: history
and evolution of IMH to current practice. Covering stages emotional of
development, child and parent tasks at each stage, and signs of
concerns.
- Consultation &Training in Early Childhood Development:
physical, emotional, cognitive and social development in early
childhood, issues of nature and nurture, context and realtionships and
pathways to adulthood.
- Consultation &Training in Early Attachment Relationships: development of attachment, attachment categories, critical importance to development and pathway to future relationships.
- Consultation & Training in Emotional Health Assessment & Intervention: prevention
oriented, strength based covering assessment skills and strategies for
professionals working with young children in the context of their
families.
- Consultation & Training in the Foundational Concepts (Attachment-Interaction-Mastery-Support) and Framework: Parent-Child-Family feelings, behavior, capabilities and resources evidenced by a range of behaviors, attitudes and qualities.
- Consultation & Training in the AIMS System of Practice: A Brief Preventive Intervention Assessment Tool of Emotional Health in Early Childhood. A
method of assessing attachment, interaction, mastery and social support
of children aged 0-5 and their families, and making brief
interventions. Available for use with children aged 2
weeks, 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15, and 18 months; and 2, 3, 4, and 5 years old
by physicians, nurses, early intervention professionals, child
development and mental health workers and others. Consisting of the
following materials:
Intake Forms: Family Information and Family Concerns Indicator
Parent Questionnaires:
Developmentally appropriate self report in the areas of attachment,
interaction, mastery and social support for each age interval from 2
weeks to 5 years old; with a family focus & wellness approach.
General Parent Interview Guidelines: General questions about parent and child coping, well-being and family relationships for use in practice with families.
Points of Parent-Child Observation: Menu of suggested
observation checklists for the professional coinciding with
developmental age intervals of the parent questionnaires.
Focussed Interview Questions and Brief Interventions: Suggestions for more in-depth questions and related brief interventions.
- Consultation & Training in Working with Parents who have Children with Special Needs: Teaching
professionals how to better understand and work with the family who has
a child with special needs. Discussing what the parents need and want
from the professional.
- Consultation & Training in Reflective Practice and/or Reflective Practice Groups: Discussion/presentation
around Reflective Practice, discussing and thinking through the
multiple ways of being and acting with young children and their
families toward supporting their healthy development.
- Local, Regional, State, National & International Presentations/Workshops/Conferences/ Institutes/Trainings:
Professional education in topics related to early childhood: i.e..
emotional development, infant mental health, assessment skills and
strategies, the AIMS System of Practice, parenting, reflective
practice, etc (as given above).
- Planning & Networking with Private/Public Early Childhood/Early Intervention Providers & Publishers: Working in collaboration towards planning, and writing around young children's needs, particularly related to emotional health development and parenting issues.
